Seeing Your Anger as God Sees It
James 1:19–20
My beloved brothers, understand this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger, for man’s anger does not bring about the righteousness that God desires.
Think it through
James 1:19–20 says that man’s anger does not bring about the righteousness that God desires. When you get angry, what do you believe your anger will get you?
This week
Keep an Anger Log: Each night this week, write one time you got angry that day. Note where it happened, such as at home, at school, at practice, or online, and what you wanted your anger to get for you. Read James 1:19–20 before you write. Keep these pages, because you will use them again.
In the app, your teen writes an answer and what they did here, and you can read them as their parent.

Questions
How is this different from a parenting book or youth group?ShowHide▾
Books and youth group are good, but they speak in general. Change Pathways gives your child or teen a pathway for the struggle they’re facing, written for their age, with notes for you beside every step, so you know what to say and how to lead. One plan covers both spouses and up to 10 kids, and you’re in it with them.
What does my teen see, and what do I see?ShowHide▾
Your teen has their own sign-in and a pathway written for teens. Before they begin, they’re shown plainly what you can see: their progress, their answers and their answer about faith, and their safety check-in when no church counselor is linked to them. Their journal stays theirs unless they choose to share it. Our Terms explain the few exceptions.
How do children aged 8 to 12 use it?ShowHide▾
They don’t have a sign-in. You open their pathway from My Family and work through each step with them, with notes for you beside every step.
Will my spouse see my pathway?ShowHide▾
Only if you choose to share it. Each of you has your own private pathway, and either of you can turn sharing on or off.
Do we all have to be Christians?ShowHide▾
No. It’s built for believers and open to anyone, and the gospel runs through every step. More →
Is it in the App Store?ShowHide▾
No. It’s a web app. Open it in any browser, or save it to each phone’s home screen.
